This scenic route travels across North Wexford and shows off some of the beauty the district has to offer off the beaten track. At Croghan our tour guide recalls the famous evictions and tells their story, while you also have the opportunity to admire the vistas Croghan Mountain has to offer.

The tour also stops off at historic sites in Hollyfort, including historical landmarks associated with the infamous Hunter Gowan. Monaseed, the home of one of the leading figures in the 1798 rebellion Miles Byrne. Craanford, where you will witness a unique fully restored 17th century water mill.

Donaghmore, the resting place of distinguished individuals and home to the remains of a Church which is said to have been visited by St. Patrick. Courtown, a beautiful sea side village once owned and run by the prominent and influential Lord Courtown and his family, and much more along the way.

This tour includes tales of rural Ireland’s past and also some truly picturesque views. Sit back, relax, enjoy the journey and be sure to bring your camera along!  The tour leaves the Ashdown Park Hotel Carpark at 9.00am and arrives back at approximately 5.00pm or 6.00pm.
